What is the difference between a monoshock service and a fork service?
Monoshock Service: This involves servicing the single rear shock absorber (monoshock). It typically includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection of internal parts (like the piston and valving), replacement of seals and oil, and often re-gassing with nitrogen.
Fork Service: This involves servicing the front suspension (forks). It includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection of fork tubes and internals, replacement of the fork seals, dust seals, and fresh fork oil.
How often should I have my monoshock and forks serviced?
For street riding, general recommendations range from 15,000 km to 25,000 km, or every 1 to 2 years, whichever comes first.
For track day or competitive riders, services should be performed more frequently, often after every 20-40 hours of ride time or at the beginning of each race season. Always refer to your shock/fork manufacturer’s specific recommendations.
How long does a typical service take?
A standard service (oil and seals replacement) usually takes 1-3 business days once the components are dropped off, assuming no major parts need to be ordered. Specialized tuning or repairs may take longer.
What is included in the service cost?
The service price typically includes labor, new high-quality oil, and standard replacement parts (like new fork seals, dust seals, and O-rings for the monoshock). We will contact you before proceeding if any additional major components need replacement (e.g., damaged shafts, bushings, or springs).
Do you offer a warranty on your service?
es, we provide a 1 year warranty on the parts and labor involved in the service, covering defects related to the work performed. This does not cover damage from accidents or misuse.
